How it Works

The Admin Console virtual appliance of Cloud Secure Web Gateway project is supposed to be deployed within your network or within your cloud infrastructure. This virtual appliance contains shared configuration and acts as target for log uploads and telemetry from the Gateway Nodes.

A Gateway Node virtual appliance is deployed in your clients network on-premises or in their cloud infrastructure. After deployment, the Gateway Node is linked to the Admin Console via a simple JSON file. Browsers within your client network are configured to connect to a Gateway Node as a proxy. Gateway Node retrieves the configuration from the Admin Console, filters browser access requests and periodically uploads logs and telemetry to the Admin Console.
