First Time Connection

After you have deployed Admin Console and configured its IP address as explained on the previous steps, it is now time to connect to the Admin Console for the first time.

Open your browser and connect to the IP address shown on the terminal console or FQDN you have configured on the previous step (we will be using swg-console.diladele.lan in the screenshots below).

You will be presented with a warning dialog in the browser, telling you that the HTTPS certificate of the Admin Console is self signed and thus is not trusted. We will explain how to provide the Admin Console with a valid commercial HTTPS certificate in a later article, for now, just acknowledge the warning and continue.

Next you will be presented with the login page. By default the Admin Console virtual appliance has the following three users pre-configured.

User Name Password Description
root Passw0rd A superuser, who has absolute authority in the Cloud SWG storage database. It is recommended to only use this account to perform system tasks (create users, assign projects from user to user and so on).
admin1 Passw0rd A normal user, who can create, manage and destroy his own client projects and gateway servers. Cannot manage projects of other users.
admin2 Passw0rd Same as above, created as an example.
