Link Gateway Node to Admin Console

Let us assume, that we need to link the freshly deployed Gateway Node virtual appliance to our Contoso project, server Finland.

Open the Admin Console and navigate to the list of projects. Click on the Contoso project to show the list of servers for that project.

Project List

Next, click on the Finland server (note it was not yet linked to the Admin Console, thus showing Last Seen: Never as its status).

Server List

You will get to the Deployment page wizard with several simple steps explaining how to link the just deployed Gateway Node to this server.

Server Deploy

Basically, a simple config.json file will need to be uploaded to the Gateway Node appliance and stored as /opt/cloud-swg-node/etc/config.json file.

Config JSON

Reboot the Gateway Node after that. As reboot completes, the node shall register itself in the Admin Console as shown on the following screenshot.

Node Linked Successfully

From now one you can use Admin Console to manage all aspects of the given Gateway node. The node will automatically download configuration from the Admin Console, upload logs and publish telemetry. The log of all actions will be stored in /opt/cloud-swg-node/var/log/noded.log.
