Virtual Appliance

It is highly recommended to deploy Web Safety on-premises as a virtual appliance. Overall maintenance, support and new version upgrades will be much easier in this case. The appliances can be directly downloaded from our site.

Each virtual appliance is based on freshly installed Ubuntu Linux Server 22.04 LTS, fully configured using the latest manual installation scripts and designed to be run in your virtual infrastructure on premises.

Currently we support three methods of virtual deployment.

Infrastructure Description
VMware vSphere/ESXi Deploy Web Safety as virtual appliance in VMware vSphere/ESXi.
Microsoft Hyper-V Deploy Web Safety as virtual appliance in Microsoft Hyper-V.
Proxmox VE Deploy Web Safety as virtual appliance in Proxmox VE.

The virtual appliance contains 2 CPUs, 4 GB memory, 200 GB hard disk and 1 network interface card. As web filtering is quite CPU and RAM intensive task, it is recommended to use more CPUs (up to 32) and plenty of RAM in production loads.
