Proxmox VE

This article explains how to download and deploy the Web Safety virtual appliance into Proxmox VE. First, download a Proxmox VE virtual appliance and unpack it into a folder.

Extract Virtual Appliance

Upload the extracted files into your backup storage of the Proxmox VE - for example, in our test lab we simply upload all files to /var/liv/vz/dump folder on our Proxmox server.

Virtual Appliance Uploaded

Login into your Proxmox VE, select the storage, Backups and make sure the websafety virtual machine is now visible. Then click the Restore button.

Restore Machine

Confirm restore on the dialog box and wait till the restore task is complete.

Navigate to the list of virtual machines, select websafety and click the Start button.

Start Appliance

Then, continue to configuring IP address of the virtual appliance.
